Inspiration

I am 19 years old and while that may not be old, it's old enough to have learned a few lessons in my lifetime. For the longest time I used to think that my parents were the meanest people alive. Throughout my life, I have been lucky enough to have a very good relationship with my parents. They have supported me, given me necessary criticism, and taught me a great deal about how to live my life.

When you were only a child, the ones who were always by your side, talked to you with all the sweetest words and the ones who were so happy to burst into tear when your spoke the first word they are your parents. Day by day, my parents were the leaders and also the instructors for my first steps into the outside world. Therefore, you have to agree that, with their love and caring, no one in the world can be the best teacher for all the first lessons as our parents.

Every morning, I can see the shining smile comes from my mother. I believe that my parents think about me almost every single day. I imagine that only a minority of children does not feel this to some extent, but I actually have tangible proof that this is true. Growing up, my mother and father always told me that they were my best friends and no matter what they would always be there for me. My father always inspired me to do the right things, to be strong, and be independent. At such a young age, I went through many stages in my life were I disagreed with what they told me. I would go through times where I said I hated them so much for punishing me, enforcing rules, and keeping me from doing the things that I wanted.

At the time, they were the last people I would consider my friends. However, as I have grown and matured with age, I have come to realize one thing I never did before, my parents are means more to me then best friends. With their love and guidance, my parents have been a major inspiration in my life and have defiantly had an enormous impact on the person that I have become.

Large City vs Small Town

When talked about where you prefer to live in, a big city or a small town, different people have different point of views. Living in big cities and small towns, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Although it is bit difficult to say that whether living in big city is of more advantage than living in small towns or vice-versa, from a personal and psychological perspective, I am in favor of living in a big city. The city life is fast paced, and facilities are more easily available. Any new products which come in markets, ranging from electronic items to even a simple pen, are instantly available in the city as soon as the products are launched. There are wide variety of shops and thus wide variety of choices to choose from.

Apart from the availability of products, the standard of living is much higher in cities when compared to towns. Too many job opportunities and wide range of products available depending on each ones budget has led to the improvement in standard of living. The city grows each day, with some or the other new project coming up everyday. In cities we find large number of entertainment multiplexes, shopping malls, educational institutions, hospitals, restaurants and others growing in number each day. The standard of education is also very high in cities. The easy availability of technology and modern teaching methods may also be one of the reasons for this. In cities, we meet wide variety of people coming from various places. As a result of which we get to meet different people, share opinions, get to know different culture, get to taste different varieties of food and the list goes on. Thus enabling our over all personality development, which helps us to lead a better society life.

I do agree that living in cities has got some disadvantages such as Pollution, traffic jams and increased cost of living. However when compared to advantages, the disadvantages are negligible. Thus I believe living in city is more beneficial than in a small town. On the others hand, small town is also suitable for people who wants to leave in peaceful life. Just imagine, working in a small peaceful garden enclosed with a fence of redolent arbors. You are surrounded with fresh air, quiet environment, and friendly neighbors. It is popularly believed that it is impossible to find some place better for living than this one. Obviously it is the best deal, but I can not hold to tell positive and negative aspects about living in a small town.

Living in a small town is slower paced than living in a large city. Basically, town has only amount of 15,000 people, compared to the larger cities that have over 100,000 people. Everyone knows everyone, one way or another. In larger cities it is very hard to know everyone because of the amount of people and the number of schools. There are only three elementary schools in town. This allows all the children to be in a small class, which enables more one on one learning. There is also only one middle school and one high school in my town. In larger cities, you only get to meet people that live in your area. Bigger cities have assigned districts, depending on what part of city you live in.

In small town, we do not have any drive-thru restaurants, large supermarkets, or large malls. This is because small towns believe in family owned business and spending time together at a restaurant. Large cities are overcome with all these establishments, and it seems that no one ever just enjoys spending time with family. On Sunday's almost all of the businesses close. This has always been a tradition that allows everyone to spend time with their family and not have to worry about working.

Conclusion, city and town is same. People must knows how to live and must thankful to god because bring us a good live.
